How Pods work in vaQgrip Click

Pods are the Click components that turn vacuum into the actual gripping surface. They hold the suction cups and define the cup matrix, pitch, and thread size. This is where the gripper layout starts to match the product footprint.

Pods connect through the vaQlock interface and can be mounted directly to a Dock, or used with Offsets and Reducers when the layout needs more reach or mixed frame sizes.

Choosing the right Pod

Choosing the right Pod

Choosing the right Pod

Start with the product surface and the support it needs during the pick. A single cup or linear Pod is useful when the gripping area is narrow or limited. A triangular or square layout gives more stable contact across a compact area, while rectangular and 3x3 layouts provide broader cup coverage.

Then choose pitch and thread size. Pitch sets the distance between cups, while thread size determines which vacuum cups can be mounted. This lets the same Click system work with different products, cup types, and surface requirements.
